An Architect specializing in residential architecture is needed at a Fairfax based, award wining residential design-build specializing in additions, whole-house remodels, exterior face lifts and porches. Position involves meeting with prospective clients in Northern Virginia and Montgomery County to identify a scope-of-work, conduct a basic project feasibility analysis and brainstorm the project with \"napkin\" sketches in advance of a design agreement. The design agreement may call for conceptual renderings (typically hand drawn or using SketchUp) and/or construction drawings and obtaining building permits.Exceptional design and interpersonal skills are required for this position. Candidates should have a portfolio that demonstrates design skills and proven problem solving abilities. This is an ideal position for a design professional who is interested in supplementing their existing income. Hours are flexible to extent that youre able to accommodate the clients needs and the companys production schedule. Workload may consist of 1-4 projects monthly.
