Do you love babies? If so, we need you!! Our Mommy Relief program offers assistants to families with newborns. We have opportunities all over DC and northern Virginia during the day and overnight. Hours vary from family to family and assignments usually last from a week to several months. General responsibilities include helping to rock, hold, bottle feed the newborn, and/or care for older siblings. Will also assist with light housekeeping (basically help so that life does not come to a complete halt with the arrival of a newborn!) including laundry, meal prep for the kids, running an errand or two. Our newborn assistants must have good, solid experience with newborn babies and children, flexibility and ability to communicate and follow directions well. CPR is very much preferred, and will help you get more positions since many parents require it. Our immediate need is for individuals experienced in caring for infant TWINS and who are willing to work the overnight shift. Diplomatic Language Services (DLS), a leading language services provider in the Washington, DC metro area, is seeking a Language Training Supervisor to join its growing language training department. The Language Training Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient management of language training activities for a group of languages taught at DLS. Primary responsibilities will include the following:1. Developing and implementing (or assisting in the development and implementation of) foreign language program initiatives to meet department objectives;2. Recruiting, staffing, training, and evaluating language training department instructors;3. Ensuring contract requirements regarding quality of the language training program are met or exceeded;4. Instructing foreign language teachers in implementing appropriate methodologies for use in adult language instruction;5. Evaluating foreign language program in accordance with established goals/objectives;6. Planning and coordinating professional development seminars for foreign language instructors;7. Conducting and participating in periodic meetings with language training department staff members; and8.
