| All three of us have just graduated from the University of Virginia and are gainfully employed (or soon will be as soon as our contracts start). We are looking for an apartment or house in the Orange Line corridor, so anywhere from Ballston to Rosslyn (or Georgetown if possible!). Were very responsible and are looking for a nicer place to reflect our newly found professional status! Our preferred rent would be around $3000, but were willing to look at anything below $4000. We want 3 bedrooms or 2 bedrooms and a den at least, and were willing to look at properties with more bedrooms as we can pull in more roommates if necessary. | I just accepted a job offer in Alexandria with a start date of early August, and am looking for a roommate (or two maximum) to look for a place together. I have just begun looking in areas near Dupont Circle (Adams Morgan, Logan Circle, Georgetown, Foggy Bottom, etc) or in Arlington near Rosslyn/Courthouse/Clarendon. Although I have a car, Im looking to be very close to the Metro, since Id basically use my car to run errands and go to/from work (the only exception would be Georgetown). Im a 26 year old male working in the technology sector, and I currently live in the Boston area. Im financially stable, active, respectful, clean, and social. Im a social drinker, dont smoke or do drugs. I would be coming with things for the common spaces like a big screen TV, surround sound, Wii, PS3 (can you guess I work in the tech sector?), couch, dinner table/chairs, kitchen stuff, among others, although Id be open to discussing what would make sense to bring down for the move. Ive had great luck with roommates in the past found in craigslist, and am hoping to keep the magic going.Im looking to move down sometime in the end of July, although if the place doesnt open up until August 1, Id be OK with that too - my start date is somewhat open ended. Im looking for a 2/3 bedroom apartment thats clean and with good spaces. It would be great to have a large common area, a good kitchen, and ideally two bathrooms. I also would need parking - ideally covered and with a dedicated spot - for my car, and obviously would be willing to pay extra if it isnt included in the rent already. My budget would be somewhere in the mid-1K range utilities included, although Im ideally looking to be in the 1000-1300 range. Id need hardwood floors, mostly because it makes my life easier during allergy season, and if the place ends up being in an apartment building, it would be nice to have good amenities to go along with secured entry.
