It does lock fine when the power locks are activated from the keyhole, though.Basically, this is a great, reliable people hauler. Before I owned it, it was being driven 120 miles round trip each day without issue. If youre looking to win car shows, this is not the car for you.Why Im selling it: Purchased from a friend (has owned it the past 40k miles) with a bad transmission. I have replaced the transmission, but no longer have a need for the car as my commute has gone from 30 to 2 miles in the time it took me to complete the work.I have owned the vehicle for a few months, but never titled it. I did post in here earlier this week but I couldnt show the car due to my work schedule, but I’m free to show the car all day today and tomorrow.This is a 1999 new beetle with 108,7XX mile with an automatic transmission. power windows, 6 CD charger.It just passed VA inspection, and I changed the brakes last month. The alternator and battery are about 2 months old. I changed the suspension and the tires in the second year. The only problem with this car is the ABS sign in on (probably a sensor and it wont affect the cars emission). Please remember that is a used car it is in a used car condition with a reasonable price.We own the car for 3 years; my wife drove it all this time.
