We are having to part with our convertible & because we traded up to a mini van since we can't fit all the kids in, so we want someone else to enjoy the car as we have. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the car & i'd have no problem jumping into it tomorrow & driving it on a 1500 mile road trip if I had to. The car is 100% mechanically fine & has 0 issues with anything. There have been many trouble free miles put on the car since we've owned it. Now some history on the car - the title type is listed as salvage because ebay's information is out of date & they won't let me list it as it should be as a clean title with a "Prior Salvage" title notation. The car has been fully inspected & certified to be repaired back to factory specification. 2 years ago, the car was in a minor fender bender in a grocery store parking lot (under 10 mph - someone was backing out of their spot & didn't look back & hit the car in the nose). This caused the air bags to deploy because of the specific spot that was hit, and therefor the insurance company totaled it out with a salvage title. I asked them what made it a salvage title & they said that if the air bags deploy, no matter how minor or major the damage, they will salvage it out. SO with the minor damage, I bought it from them & repaired the damage myself (I do own & run a body shop, so I can guarantee the work to be of factory or greater quality) with all OEM Chrysler parts only. The only damage that did occur was a dent to the hood, (which I replaced, I didn't fill it with bondo) the drivers side fender was bent (again, replaced, not filled), a new front bumper cover & a set of airbags. That was it. There was no frame, sub structure, inner structure or cooling damage at all, it was all sheet metal damage only. Once the damage was repaired, I took & had it aligned just to make sure & the shop wanted to know why I brought it in because it was still 100% aligned. Anyway, that is the history of the car & again, it is 100% mechanically sound & has no issues. We'd be keeping if we could afford the additional payment, but we'd rather keep a roof over our head instead of a no roof on our car.
