1953 (fifty-three) Solid Fiberglass hull built by Marscott, which later became the famous "Tripp Angler --22' ". This is a full displacement, lobster boat style, inboard design of heavily laid solid fiberglass. The full keel (only) is solid oak. This boat has been covered and "on the hard" for approx 20 years -- what is left of the deck, small cabin etc is useless rotted wood. Engine (V8), gear, shaft prop, rudder etc., remain but usefulness unknown. Being sold as-is only for its sweet looking, still very usable solid glass hull. Great center console or small bass boat project. On a homemade "yard trailer" (included) that is not road worthy but cradles the hull well and looks basically solid. Buyer will need to flatbed it home. Please, no dreamers or tire-kickers or "now I need to find a place to put it". I have prepared/posted this ad for neighbor. This Boston Whaler needs some relatively minor repairs to the sides of the hull but the bottom and transom are sound. The inner foam is dry. There is peeling paint on the hull which makes it look ugly in the photos but will sand off easily. You will need to construct or buy a center console and the same for a seat. The boat will also need a new rub rail. With a little effort someone can have a classic 17 ft. Boston Whaler rigged the way they want it. Add whatever power you want or have and enjoy the famous ride and stability of a Boston Whaler. Or you may want to make the repairs then sell the hull for profit.
