Wellcraft Excel has a Volvo Penta outdrive and has a new 3.0 4 cylinder engine installed by Stanleys Boatyard (factory authorized Volvo shop). Used less than 30 hours since installed and at that time also did new risers, starter and water pump so she is truly like brand new for trouble and cost free use for years. Adult owned and never used as a fishing boat.It has a stove, sink, icebox and porta-potty, as well as ship-to-shore radio, depth/fish finder and am/fm stereo cd player. Bimini and camper top less than 3 years old.Hence, this boat needs nothing. It has a high quality fiberglass hull and superb gelcoat hence its appearance still looks new. The boat is a 1969 columbia MKII 26’ in length with a sloop design. Comes with main, jib, and a roller furling setup. she has a well however the motor I am currently using is to large for the well so it is hung on a bracket on the back. I scrubbed and bottom painted this spring. She has a propane range and would make a greater overnighter. Including a extra jib that I tore and had sewn back up. Could use new scupper drains some minor electrical work to set up running lights for night (already there just need to be wired) and there is a band new battery to run everything off of. The motor is a 1969 evinrude 9.5-10hp. The motor currently is having trouble staying in forward gear. I have been told it is a lower unit issue however that is the extent of my knowledge.
