ANTIQUE CHILDREN'S TOY ROCKING-BOUNCING SWAN YOU WILL NOT KNOW HOW YOU LIVED WITH OUT IT! Seriously this is a cool old toy. They just don't make toys like this anymore. If you are old enough than you may remember when toys were made with sturdy, strong pinch you legs hard! springs. The Duck itself is plastic colored pink, blue & yellow. It is mounted to a wooden base that is painted pink, back when we used real lead based paint! This base is attached to four sturdy springs, the kind that you may remember tearing at your legs on toys like this when you were a child. The springs then attach to two curved rails. This design allowed for the child to bounce and rock the toy. There are two wooden handles one on each side of the head. There are two small stress cracks in the plastic next to the handles in the head presumably from a child's enthusiasm. They are minor and in no way detract from the toy. There is a safety strap made of pink leather with a golden buckle in the seating area. The buckle is functioning fine but starting to show its age as it should be. This is a great conversation piece. Our home is full of antiques and curio sites and yet everyone who visits immediately is drawn to mentioning this vintage toy. They are always then prone to mention a toy they remember from there childhood. For many this is a walk down memory lane! This is a very unique item. We are confidient that you will enjoy it. Looks great in any collection. Would be great in a theme restaurant. Would make a great odd styled album cover for the right band.
