I have an 1896 General Laws of Rhode Island single volume. This is a volume that then Governor Ladd had commissioned to revise all statutes so as to "simplify the duties of and equalize the burdens upon the state courts and thus produce greater efficiency in the work of the said courts." Particular to this were the statutes in the areas of probate jurisdiction, personal property, coperations, insolvency and domestic relations. This is an interesting volume that I had on line about a year a go when it was in perfect condition. Now the binding has come a[part at the at the top right hinge.
