This is a truly unique steeple or cathedral clock that is in perfect working condition. It chimes at every hour on the hour and keeps very accurate time. It was recently (Mar. ’09) professionally serviced by an antique clock repairman. It is in excellent condition and features a reverse on glass painted beehive. I bought this clock in Maryland where I was an antiques dealer. I have bought and sold many clocks over the years. This is the ONLY ONE that I have seen with the beehive design on it. Truly appropriate for UTAH, the BEEHIVE STATE!!! I recently saw a Steeple clock similar but no where as nice priced at $1200 in an antiques store in Arkansas. The wood case is in excellent condition. I have had various experts estimate the age of the clock and most have said that it came from the mid 1800’s. The winding key comes with it.
