The ThermoChromic changes can be caused by either changes in air temperature or body temperature and the PhotoChromic changes occur when the t-shirts are exposed to UV (sun) light. All ThermoChromic ink products have a “cold” color and a “hot” color. The “hot” color begins to appear when the temperature rises above 75 degrees. When the garment temperature reaches 85 degrees, the ThermoChromic portion of the product will be fully changed to the “hot” color. PhotoChromic ink products also have a “cold” and “hot” color, the change occurring when the t-shirt is worn in UV or sun light. These t-shirts are dyed shirts which are comparable to tie-dye or acid wash. These t-shirts are, by nature of the process, dyed unevenly so no two t-shirts will match exactly. All t-shirts are U.S. made, 100% cotton or 50/50 cotton blend, pre-shrunk t-shirts. ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION -- As indicated above, the t-shirts are made from the highest quality 100 percent cotton or a 50/50 blend. The inks are made from the safest ingredients in the industry. The inks are non-toxic and hypo-allergenic. The only difference between these inks and the ones used on regular silkscreen and/or dyed shirts is that these inks contain a wax-based organic, micro-encapsulated crystal, which facilitates the color change. CARE -- The screen-printed designs will maintain their colors as well as any silk-screen design. The ink properties will not diminish with time as long as the care and washing instructions are followed. The garments have been machine tested up to 250 times. Following the directions included when the t-shirts are shipped, they can be washed over 100 times without an adverse result upon the fabric or the color change affect.
