2008 model, brand new hull. 12 feet long, pedal drive, green. This model has Hobie's new stow-away rudder, which is a huge improvement over the previous version.
Accessories included: paddle, mirage drive, convenient plug-in cart, and deluxe padded seat (the accessories are mildly used and in great condition). I'm selling it because I just bought a Hobie Adventure Island and I can't afford to keep two.
New Hobie Outbacks now cost $1749 plus tax (well over $100), and the carts cost $109, which brings you to around $2000 walking out the store. This is the exact same hull as the 2009's, with a new molding revamped from the 2006 model, which I owned before this. It's a sleeker design, with three storage hatches that are a thousand times easier to open than before, and comes with molded fishing rod holders, cup holders, paddle holder, and cargo areas.
The boat is self-draining and unsinkable. This is Hobie's most stable kayak. If you like fishing, this is the way to go, as the pedal drive leaves your hands free.
This is a great chance to get a new kayak that will last for years at a used price. Check out Hobie's site for a detailed view: http://www.hobiecat.com/kayaking/models_outback.html
