This 1953 Higgins Army T-boat, 2000 is the ultimate live aboard. Close to 1000 sq. ft. of warm, dry and very comfortable living space and literally tons of storage built around the platform of the famous Army T-boat. Excellent running, high efficiency Cat diesel, 2 generators, 3 staterooms, office, large galley, laundry room and 3 heads. This is a tough, tight vessel that fenders are only necessary to protect the dock. Sister ship is the ice breaker for Homer, Alaska. Another sister ship is the Virazon, an archaelogical research vessel based in Turkey. This boat is featured in the Discovery Channels program Ships in 2005. These T-boats were built by Higgins of the WWII Higgins boat fame. There were 85 of these vessels built and the vast majority are still in service.
