DON'T SPEND SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A POPUP CAMPER WHEN YOU CAN GET ALL OF THIS FOR THE SAME PRICE. Got a 1972 Winnebago Chieftain 27' long. The GOOD: Has a 413 Chrysler engine/tranny that runs great, still under 100k miles! Last year it got NEW points, NEW wires, NEW water heater, NEW central heater and NEW tires all the way around. Adjusted the brakes and they look good. Put NEW plugs in it last weekend. Has a Holley carb on top. Dual gas tanks with a transfer pump so you can refill your main on the fly. Has a 5k Onan generator which runs good. 110 plug in rear so you can pull up next to any standard socket, plug in and have power throughout. Inside is in great shape for its age. Instrument Gauges all work. All the batteries stay up and take a charge. The NEEDED: Roof mounted A/C worked great all last year but now isn't cold so it needs to be charged. If I don't get rid of the RV soon I will have the A/C charged because I don't like being hot. The taillights work but brake lights don't. I'm assuming the little switch on the brake pedal is froze or broke. I'm working on the taillights so hope to have them fixed soon. Needs a few new marker bulbs. Onan Generator needs a fuel line put on it, has a small leak. Also working on the fuel line for the generator. There are several places in the plumbing that need fixed which it is easy to get to however I do not know much about it so that will need some attention. Otherwise it looks and runs pretty damn good for a '72. This would make an outstanding mobile hunting headquarters which is what I used it for or a great place for your weekend camping trips. I have driven this at highway speeds several times within the last 2 months so it is very capable of many more vacations. I will take $3000 cash OBO or I may trade for something such as a car, truck, tractor, zero turn mower or whatever you might have that I want/need.
