I will be in Wasilla August 21st and will be there for a full year with AmeriCorps. I am looking for inexpensive housing because I will only be getting paid about $1000 a month. I would prefer the price inclued all utilities so I can set up a monthly budget. It would be nessaricary that the place is located downtown or close to a reliable public transportation system. I will be working for the Valley Community for Recycling Solutions so anything close to that would be a plus. I have lived in Alaska all my life (30+) and would be interested in meeting and getting stories form other local residents especially if you have an interest in Alaskan Gardening and Preserving. There was an add on here a few days ago from a person with a 96 monte carlo, I believe it was. They were parting it out or selling it for 50 bucks. My 10 month old Doberman appears to have injurerd her back left paw by dropping a log on it!! (She was playing and got too carried away!), and now every so often she limps, whines, then in a moment shes ok and walks just fine. Right now shes favoring it, shes hopping, and Ive been reading that theres nothing a vet can do except send you home w/ pain meds. Is there anything I can do from an at-home stand point to help her???!! Im on a low budget but Im willing to put forth the vet bill if I need to, Im just wondering if this is necessary.
