First of all I would like to say that I have laid down the bike three time doing staind up wheelies. twice in first gear, and once in second gear going 70 mph. my self and the bike had little damge for what happened. now for the bike I pollished the frame and swing arm. I put a $520 krause racing titanium-chromoly 525 chain on. The sprokets are 16 front, and 47 rear. I put a dubble bubble wind screen on. I have a National Cycle Plexifairing 2 motorcycle windshield for a Vulcan 750 for sale, all clear color in excellent condition (no scratches/no haze). Only catch is it has the lower skirt extensions (all as one piece windshield) which will hit the stock air filter housings at steering lock. It was originally intended for a bike with aftermarket filter housings, but the lower skirts really help keep the wind & rain off your thighs and legs! Of course, you can always cut the lower skirts off but you have to use care cutting plexiglass of course. Comes with all the hardware to mount it to your bike. (see photo below) I see theyre going for $175 new now, Ill be looking for $120.00 for this one.Im going to also have a freshly rebuilt Vulcan 750 engine available soon. Ive ridden just over 14,000 miles on it since the build, and its really peppy---Ive painstakingly taken care of the bike and engine throughout and its been garaged all its life. It has a completely new cylinder head 3-angle valve job (including new valves/spring/retainers/locks/seals,etc.) and the heads are completely deburred throughout, polished and ported so it \"breathes\" alot better than stock. In fact, engine internal engine case has been deburred, smoothed for faster oil return and tubular cow magnets installed at bottom of sump to catch any gear debris before heading for oil screen. Everything rebuilt/reset, even the transmission gear edges were radiused and shifts flawlessly. All clips/bearings/seals replaced inside engine with new OEM parts, even intermediate shift shaft with its heim joints inside the engine case and stator with a high-quality Electrex unit. Exterior of engine is highly polished; both side covers buffed-out to a brilliant lustre and cylinder fins are buffed to look like chrome. Breather covers one-off polished aluminum to high lustre. Comes with starter mounted but carburetors are removed and sold seperately (very easy to install on a removed engine!). This engine has *manual* cam chain tensioners--a very special, one-off modification because the stock automatic cam chain tensioners never work very long off the showroom floor (only meant to get the bike out the door; they usually start to fail at 15,000 miles or so and cam chain chews up the cam gear sprokets soon after ! ). If you buy this engine, I will be happy to assist with any information you require to get it up and running--including about the tensioners. Im going to need $699 for the engine. This is a great running bike and lots of power and easy to ride. Has brand new X chain (heavy duty) and sprockets. Brand New $420 Tourance tires which are supposed to get 12,000 miles on them and they are top of the line dual sport tires. I have another gas tank for this bike but its blue and its in way better condition then the one that is on it. I also put brand new brakes on this bike yesterday. Has fresh oil and oil filter, new spark plugs. All lights work this bike street ready. Does great on the highway. Excellent bike for commuting or running errands because it gets 55 miles per gallon and you can get about 160-170 miles per tank. registration good until May 2012. Clean clear title. Insurance is very cheap on these bikes. For sale. Honda 1976 Goldwing. This was only the 2nd year these were made. This is a classic, 1000cc, “Naked” wing. All original, and all parts are on the bike and work fine (except the fairing, I sold that to someone else, cause I don’t’ like them). I had the brakes rebuilt, so they are new. All it needs is the carbs rebuilt, and I have the source for that (you send in the old ones, they send you new rebuilt ones). I have removed the tins for painting, The bike is ready for a new owner, who will give her the attention she needs. I have many bikes, and this one is neglected. There is a mechanic in the Valley that really knows vintage bikes and I can give you his name if you need any help installing the carbs. So you can be the ‘cool’ one with the vintage bike for less than a new set of pipes cost on most other bikes (I know...Ive done it). Not many of these left around. just moved back to alaska and need a change for the family. it is a very reliable bike. kinda sad to get rid of it. it definitely turns heads. it has an after market yoshimura pipe/exhaust, low pro lights and 7700 miles on it. now the bad news... it has been laid down once by a previous owner. no mechanical damage but has small crack on right side lower fairing and another small crack front wheel fender. all pieces are secure and not really that damaged. it does however have a new comfort seat. its a cold blooded bike (carburated), so it doesnt over heat like the some of the newer bikes. it tops out at about 150 mi/hr... its enough to scare u... well, i am asking $4000obo, or an atv w/ trailer trade or maybe something else. call me with suggestions. phone # 360-672-1842 Location: wasillaits NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
