Direct Hire - Accounting Assistant $16/hr Mon - Friday 8:30- 5pm or 8:00 - 4:30pm. 37.5 hour work week. Ideal candidate for this job will have some (1-2 yrs) basic accounting work expereince. You will assist Controller with Accounts Receivable by preparing and data entry of daily cash log, credit card preparation and data entry, prepare bank deposit and deliver to the bank. Accounts Payable to include reviewing invoices received for accuracy, prepare authorization forms for approval, determine correct general ledger expense, data entry of approved payables, print checks, maintain records, reconcile the checking account, inventory and purchase of office supplies, process dues yearly accrual, printing and coordination of organizations dues, you are the backup person for payroll data entry, backup for handling payroll taxes, payment and filing. The right applicant must be detail oriented, pleasant and very reliable. You should be a great multi tasker, very organized and this position requires initiative, good judgment, and ability to see the big picture. You must be able to manage your own work flow.
