The best bunk beds ever made! Solid Pine wood, sturdy, and easy for little ones to climb. The ladder does not intrude into the room and is the width of the bed, for the sleepy kids. My daughter will be leaving for college soon, and we will not need these any more. Hate to part with them, but no room to store. Assembled many times by myself. I also bought new mattresses to upgrade from bunk mattresses which dont have enough support for grown people. Mattresses have always had protective covers on them.
