We had it inspected and the results are below:I saw your piano today and the following is a quick report of the condition and a valuation estimate.Kawai GE-1A (5 1\" model), hi-polish ebony finish, serial #2337907 (made in 1998).Part 1 - condition report: the instrument is from 25 to 42 cents flat (low in pitch). It would require two or three tuning services to stabilize at A-440 htz (international pitch). Also, from the underside of the rim (curved segment), there is a visible separation of the inner and outer rims (due to the very dry Alaskan winters). NOTE: the rim separation is a minor concern at this time. Part 2 - valuation: The Model GE-1A was replaced with a newer model GE-20. These new models retail at $18,000 for polished ebony models. Considering the \"separation of the rim\" issue and the needed tunings, I would place a fair market value of this piano at $7,000 to $8,000 \"AS IS\". This is a Fender MIM Stratocaster with a transparent natural wood finish, S/S/S pickup configuration, and maple neck w/ maple fingerboard and black dot inlays. This 1931 National guitar is solid and plays sweet but not all original. It is set up slightly lower for fingerpicking but you can still play slide on it.It has a 1929 Stella neck with really nice Grover Snakewood tuners. Very nice feeling v-neck. Great blusey growl sound. If you are looking for a player guitar and not a museum ax........it sounds great.
